Lowe’s Gas Grill Recall Due to Risk of Lid Catching Fire

About 663,000 Perfect Flame SLG series gas grills are being recalled after 23 reports of lids catching fire, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Wednesday. There has also been one report of an eye injury related to this defect and 21 other reports of minor burns users’ on hands, arms and face.

These outdoor propane or natural gas grills were sold exclusively at Lowe’s from September 2005 through May 2009 and are black or gray stainless steel. The model numbers being recalled include: SLG2006B, SLG2006BN, SLG2006C, SLG2006CN, SLG2007A, SLG2007B, SLG2007BN, SLG2007D, SLG2007DN and SLG2008A. This code can be found in the compartment under the cooking chamber.
