Dorel Playpen and Bassinet Recall due to Suffocation Hazard

Playpen-bassinet set recall from Dorel Juvenile Group involves 213,000

Safety 1st Disney Care Center (right) and Eddie Bauer Complete Care (below) play yards, or play pens, have been recalled by Columbus, Ind.-based importer Dorel Juvenile Group, Inc., the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced. The play pens are portable and have a bassinet attachment and changing station.

The metal bar supporting the floorboard of the bassinet attachment can come out of its fabric sleeve, creating an uneven sleeping surface, which poses a suffocation risk.

The recalled play yards were sold January 2007 through October 2009 at Babies “R” Us, Kmart, Walmart, Sears and Target. Affected models include: 05025, 05026, 05037, 05088 and 05350.
