Fairbury Steaks Ground Beef Recall

valley meat e. coli lawsuitFairbury, Neb.-based Fairbury Steaks, Inc. has recalled 90 pounds of ground beef that could be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced Tuesday. The 10-pound packages of “bulk fresh ground beef” are marked with the establishment number “EST.5726” inside the USDA inspection label. Produced on Nov. 16, the products were distributed to a restaurant in Ruskin, Neb., but have not been associated with any reports of E. coli infection at this point.
