Parkville, Mo.-based Snacks on Racks, Inc. is recalling Gourmet Snack Packs that could contain undeclared milk, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, egg, sulfites or wheat, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced Tuesday. The products were distributed throughout the continental United States at food service establishments in hospitals, colleges, universities and corporate cafeterias and kiosks. The Gourmet Snack Packs were NOT sold at convenient stores, gas stations, grocery or mass market retailers. Recalled products are packaged in a clear, rectangular container and bear a blue “Snacks on Racks” adhesive label. No illnesses have been associated with this recall.
Undeclared peanuts can cause anaphylactic shock, a life-threatening allergic reaction.
