Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep Recalls due to Brake Failure Risk

A Chrysler brake recall has been announced for vehicles that could pose a brake failure risk because they may have been manufactured with “an improperly formed or missing brake booster input rod retaining clip.” Sudden brake failure can increase the risk of a car accident.

Chrysler SebringAbout 24,177 units are affected, including 2010 models of the following vehicles, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):

  • Chrysler Sebring
  • Dodge Avenger
  • Dodge Nitro
  • Dodge Ram (2009 models as well)
  • Jeep Commander
  • Jeep Grand Cherokee
  • Jeep Liberty
