Kawasaki Super Sherpa Motorcycle Recall

A Kawasaki motorcycle recall involves 2009 Super Sherpa KL250G9F

motorcycle throttleKawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. is recalling model year 2009 Super Sherpa motorcycles due to blockage in an engine oil passage that could restrict oil flow to the cylinder head, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). This may result in a loss of engine power or even make the engine stop, therefore posing a risk of a motorcycle crash. Owners should stop riding the recalled Kawasaki motorcycles and dealers will inspect the oil system and repair the cylinder head for free.

  1. Kawasaki has been very good to the Super Ssherpa Owners in inspecting the engine. This recall has only affected a limited run of Super Sherpas from what i hear,,and Kawasaki is takeing care of the problem and is takeing care of the affected owners. The Super Sherpa is still hard to beat for a no-fuss,low maintenance dual sport trail rideing, commuteing motorcycle for all ages…you cant beat it,,not even with a ugly stick. A very underestamated bike by many, untill they ride it,,then they want one. I own 2 sherpas,,,i would glady buy another if i could.
