A Navistar brand motor home, motorcoach and RV recall has been issued due to faulty air brakes, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The units recalled by Navistar Inc., include the following models and years:
- Beaver Coach Contessa 2008-2009
- Beaver Coach Marquis 2009
- Beaver Coach Monterey 2009
- Beaver Coach Patriot 2009
- Holiday Rambler Ambassador 2009-2010
- Holiday Rambler Endeavor 2010-2011
- Holiday Rambler Imperial 2009-2010
- Holiday Rambler Navigator 2010
- Holiday Rambler Sceptor 2010
- Monaco Camelot 2010
- Monaco Dynasty 2010
- Monaco Knight 2009-2010
- Monaco Signature 2010
- Monaco Coach Diplomat 2010-2011
The recalled motor coaches and motorhomes were manufactured from January 2008 through October 2009. A pin that secures the brake pedal arm to the brake assembly may fail, which could cause a reduction in braking ability and/or cause the brake pedal to shift position and interfere with the throttle pedal. This could increase the risk of an accident.
