Hunting tree steps by Primal Vantage of Randolph, N.J. have been recalled after reports of steps breaking, including two reports of cuts and bruises, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
About 16,000 Ameristep Plastic Strap-on Tree Steps are being recalled. They were sold in 2009 at various sporting goods stores nationwide.
- Model 155 was sold as a single step
- Model 105 was sold as a three-step package
- Both are marked with a 12/08 date code
The steps are fastened to a tree trunk with a nylon strap and metal buckle to allow elevated hunting vantage points. Owners should stop using the stands and contact Primal Vantage for a refund–retail locations can not issue money back.
