An Arctic Cat snowmobile recall involves about 1,300 snowmobiles that pose a fire and burn hazard, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced. Arctic Cat Inc., of Thief River Falls, Minn. is aware of two reports of fuel leakage near the fuel pump mounting screws. This leakage could result in a snowmobile vehicle fire and possibly a burn injury to the driver.
The recall involves model year 2010 Arctic Cat 500 Sno Pro snowmobiles. The model number and name can be found on the side of the seat. The recalled snowmobiles were sold at Arctic Cat dealerships nationwide from October 2009 to February 2010. Owners should not drive the snowmobiles and contact their local Arctic Cat dealer to schedule a repair.
