Peterbilt 320 Trucks Recall due to Air Brake Problem
A Peterbilt 320 truck recall affects certain model year 2010 trucks with Hendrickson HLR2 non-steering pusher axle, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). These trucks, manufactured by Paccar, Inc., fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 121, which regulates air brake systems.
The recalled trucks do not have enough air tanks to allow for proper operation of the vehicle’s air brake system, which could hinder the driver’s ability to stop the vehicle, therefore increasing the risk of a crash involving personal injury or death. Dealers will install and additional air reservoir at no charge.
