Evenflo Wooden Gate Recall After Falls, Injuries
A child safety product recall has been issued for Evenflo wooden gates after 142 incident reports, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
About 150,000 Evenflo Top-of-Stairs Plus Wood Gates are being recalled after 142 reports of slats breaking or detaching from the gates. Several children fell through the gates and down stairs as a result of broken or detached slats. These children suffered bumps, bruises, scratches and scrapes. Evenflo Company Inc., of Miamisburg, Ohio will replace recalled gate models for consumers. Parents and caregivers should stop using the gates and call Evenflo.
