Drowning Hazard Prompts Dive Computer Recall

Certain Mares Nemo Air Dive Computers are being recalled because of a potential malfunction that can pose a drowning risk to divers, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced.

Mares USA of Boca Raton, Florida is issuing the recall after the discovery was made that an O-ring in the high pressure air connector can potentially leak air, which would cause a slow and steady loss of breathing gas to the diver, posing a drowning hazard.

Consumers who own the defective dive computers should stop using them immediately. HOWEVER, if you have been injured by a defective product, you should keep the product and its accompanying documents and packaging. This can be used as evidence in a product liability lawsuit.
