Five Fires Caused by Recalled Agio Gas Columns
Recalled Agio brand outdoor fire columns can pose a fire hazard to homes. A Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) report announced this fire hazard recall. Thousands of Patio Glow Outdoor Gas Fire Columns are being recalled by Agio International due to a potential gas leak in the connections in the column. The company is aware of five fires started by these fire columns, which are powered by propane gas.
Hazardous Appliance Product Description
- The Agio Patio Glow has a brick rectangular base
- The top contains a bowl filled with lava rocks
- Serial numbers included in the recall are: 0081959SD through 0087754SD
- The recalled model number is: GFP207
- Both numbers can be found on a label inside the door of the base
- Sold at Costco exclusively from August 2009 through February 2010

The CPSC advises that consumers who own a recalled Agio Patio Glow fire column should stop using them immediately and return them to Costco for a full refund.
