E. coli O157:H7 Ground Beef Recall by California Firm

E.coli poisoningMontclair Meat Co., Inc, of Montclair, California is recalling 53,000 pounds of ground beef that could be contaminated with E. coli, the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced.

Packages of Ground Beef and All Beef Patties bearing the establishment number “Est. 6116″ are being recalled. The recalled, potentially tainted meat was produced from May 3 to May 13, 2010. The contamination of  E. coli O157:H7 was discovered by FSIS through microbiological testing.
