EZ Loader Adjustable Boat Trailers, Inc. is recalling 2010 EZ Loader Single Axle boat trailers, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The spindle can separate from the axle, which could allow the tire and wheel to come loose from the trailer. This could cause a trailer accident. Dealers will send repair teams out to fix the defective boat trailers for free.
Injury Hazard Prompts Snow Sled Trailer Hitch Recall
An injury hazard has prompted a utility snow sled hitch recall by Pelican International, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced.
Screws in the hitch could loosen and fall because of vibrations when the sled is used to tow cargo. This could cause the sled to detach from a vehicle towing the cargo and poses an injury and accident hazard to those using the hitch and those in the surrounding area.
Fire Hazard Prompts Recall of Generators That Leak Fuel
Reports of fuel leakage and a fire hazard have led to the recall of portable generators according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Cummins Power Generations of Minneapolis, Minn., is recalling portable generators made by Loncin Industries, Ltd of China because fuel can leak which poses a serious risk of home fire and / or burn injury.
Fire Hazard Prompts Laptop Battery Recall Expansion
After burn injuries and fire reports, a Hewlett-Packard and Compaq laptop battery recall is being expanded, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The laptop computer batteries pose a burn injury hazard to consumers.
More than 50,000 lithium-ion batteries are being added to the recall, which initially included 70,000 potentially overheating laptop batteries.
Coffee Maker Burns Prompt WalMart Recall
Burn injuries have resulted in a coffee maker recall by General Electric and Walmart, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). About 900,000 digital 12-cup coffee brewers have been recalled after 83 reports of overheating, smoking, melting, burning and fires. There are three reports of burn injuries to consumers’ hands, feet and torso and also reports of property damage including a kitchen fire.
Child Suffocation and Injury Hazard Prompts Storage Trunk Recall
After an 18-month-old child suffered brain damage and another was injured, Minneapolis, MN-based Target Corporation is recalling woven storage trunks, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced. The lids of the trunks can suddenly drop and trap children reaching into the trunk. This poses a child injury, strangulation and suffocation hazard.
