]]> HappyTot baby foodA HAPPYTOT and HAPPYBABY baby food recall involves nine types of products distributed by Brooklyn, N.Y.-based Nurture, Inc., according to the Food and Drug Administration.  The company was contacted by the FDA after the administration received a consumer complaint that one of the baby food packaging pouches was swollen. Swelling or leakage of baby food packaging can be an indicator of spoilage and potential bacterial contamination, typically arising out of improper or broken packaging.

The HAPPYTOT and HAPPYBABY recall includes products with expiration dates between October 2010 and January 2011 and include the following products:

  • HAPPYTOT Sweet potato, carrot, apple & cinnamon, NET WT. 4.22 OZ. (120g), UPC 8 52697 00128 6;
  • HAPPYTOT Spinach, mango & pear, NET WT. 4.22 OZ. (120g), UPC 8 52697 00129 3;
