According to the Lamplight press release, you can return them by calling Lamplight at 1-866-671-7988 to arrange for the gel fuel to be returned to Lamplight for a full refund. If gel fuel has caused injury, an attorney should be consulted before anything is done.

My girlfriend and I have been sick since eating an all natural 1/3 pound jennie-O lean white turkey burger last Monday April 4th. We were cooking two of the burgers on the grill for a birthday party and was told about the recall on the burgers. We laughed about it thinking it was a joke and were both sick by the next morning, when we looked up the website and realized it wasn't a joke. My girlfriend was sick in bed for 2 and a half days, and I am still sick a week later. I have been throwing up and having severe stomach cramping since that day. I have missed work because of this and don't seem to be getting any better! I looked at the dates and lot numbers on the package, but they don't match up with the ones on the website. However, this does not change the fact we have been sick ever since.

It very unfortunate what happened to the children who were injured and/or deceased because of this. I have only one question thou...
The box says 6+ right?? so why give them to a 3 or 4 or 5 yr old. My point is I don't think its fair to keep them from other children. Small children shouldn't have them anyways.
I see both sides of this. So should YOU.

Our fanily business which is a landmark in our community(for over 30 years) sustained a fire on April 26, 2007 and our ice machine was looked at as the cause from the begining. The burned remains of the machine was put in lock down, it's location in the building was put under quarantine for over 2 weeks and noone was allowed in that area without the State Inspector. Representatives from both the manufacturer of the ice machine and the company who sold it to us came out with thier own inspectors. It was stated that the machine was mishandle during the initial spection so it could not be determined conclusively that it was that particular machine that caused the fire (we had 2 machines in the area). The firm that would have handled the suit wanted a $100,000 retainer and we were told that the Manufacturer had the means to drag the suit out for as long as they wanted which could become very costly for us and it would be years before we saw any money from it if any at all. We were highly discourage to pursue a lawsuit with them at the time and told to use our money & resources to concentrate on rebuilding our business.

However, the burned ice machine continued to be held in lock down as the probable cause for over 1.5 yrs and a few months after we gave the State Inspector the ok to distroy it the recall came out. When I found out about the recall I made an inquiry to him regarding it. He was not surprised to hear from me and not only was I told the same thing about it not being worth pursuing because they are a big company with the financial ability to drag it out I was also told that they would be even more prepared to drag things out because we would be "coming out of the workwork looking to collect" after the recall. Once again I was told it would be a useless fight and waste of our time & money because of the Manufacturers financial ability to make things work in thier favor.

What does brackets failing mean? Did they snap off, slip off, bend? I hunted with them all year and never felt unsafe. Its actually the most solid hang on I have sat in. I wonder how much these four out of 6,800 people weighs? Its cool summit is replacing them though.

Kawasaki has been very good to the Super Ssherpa Owners in inspecting the engine. This recall has only affected a limited run of Super Sherpas from what i hear,,and Kawasaki is takeing care of the problem and is takeing care of the affected owners. The Super Sherpa is still hard to beat for a no-fuss,low maintenance dual sport trail rideing, commuteing motorcycle for all ages...you cant beat it,,not even with a ugly stick. A very underestamated bike by many, untill they ride it,,then they want one. I own 2 sherpas,,,i would glady buy another if i could.

In order for bacteria to survive, there would have had been some moisture of some kind in the black pepper prior to grinding it up. Otherwise I would think the meat would be more suspect than a dry spice.

Robert:

Thank you for your comment. Freezing doesn't kill E. coli O157:H7. You can read about USDA recommendations for safe beef preparation here:

What took so long to recall? My daughter ate the cheese when 8 months pregnant. Thank God the portion of cheese I bought (at Sam's Club) was not contaminated; recall came after the baby was born!!
