Burn Injuries Prompt Grill Recall
Several burn injury reports have prompted the recall of 4,600 Kuuma Stow and Go grills, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The hazardous grill recall was issued by Eastwind Industries, Inc., of San Leandro, California because the grills can develop a propane tank leak. This can happen if the fuel container isn’t completely threaded on the regulator during installation.
Five Fires Caused by Recalled Agio Gas Columns
Recalled Agio brand outdoor fire columns can pose a fire hazard to homes. A Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) report announced this fire hazard recall. Thousands of Patio Glow Outdoor Gas Fire Columns are being recalled by Agio International due to a potential gas leak in the connections in the column. The company is aware of five fires started by these fire columns, which are powered by propane gas.
Discovery Kids Lamps Recall due to Fire and Burn Hazard
A lamp fire hazard prompted a Discovery Kids Animated Marine and Safari lamp recall, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced. The recall of 360,000 kids lamps comes after the company, Innovage LLC of California, received nine incident reports, including seven situations in which lamps caught fire, one involving a child smoke inhalation injury and three property damage reports.
The decorative lamps are silver with rotating marine life or safari scenes. The lamps have a defect in their circuit board that can cause an electrical short, which is the source of the burn hazard and fire risk to consumers.
