Toyo Tire Recall due to Possible Sidewall Defect
A tire recall involves Nitto and Toyo brand tires that could develop a crack in the sidewall, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
Toyo Tire Holdings of Americas Inc., recalled the 2,183 tires after discovering that some were manufactured with a wrinkle in the upper sidewall, which could eventually develop into a crack that could cause the tire to fail, posing a car accident risk and risk of serious injury resulting from a crash or possibly death.
Toyota Recall Still Expanding
A Toyota accident risk recall now involves about 8 million vehicles that could have a sticky accelerator or a gas pedal that become stuck underneath floor mats. Intention to file a Toyota class action lawsuit has been announced by a Florida lawyer.
Toyota Accelerator Recall UPDATE
A Toyota recall was issued in late January due to reports of the cars’ accelerator pedals sticking, increasing the risk of a car accident. In the initial Toyota recall notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Toyota had not yet proposed a plan of action to fix the 2.3 million vehicles with the potentially sticky accelerator pedals.
Toyota Recall due to Reports of Accelerator Sticking
A Toyota recall involves accelerators that may become stuck, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). “Our investigation indicates that there is a possibility that certain accelerator pedal mechanisms may, in rare instances, mechanically stick in a partially depressed position or return slowly to the idle position,” Toyota USA vice president said in a statement. A potentially dangerous condition such as this can increase the risk of a car crash.
