After 5 reports of separated rails on certain of its fixed-side cribs, ducduc recalled about 330 of the cribs. According to ducduc, The bottom rails on the crib sides can separate from the sides when the mattress is in the lowest position, causing the spindles to separate and the mattress to drop. This poses fall and entrapment hazards for young children.
This crib recall includes ducduc fixed-side cribs with the model names and item codes ending in 2009, 2010 and 2011 listed below. The name”ducduc” and the item code can be found on a label located on the mattress panel.

The recalled cribs were sold at the ducduc New York showroom, online at www.ducducnyc.com, at specialty stores and through interior designers nationwide from January 2009 through February 2011 for between $1,500 and $1,800.

A recall of Alexander Designs drop-side cribs was prompted by two reports of incidents involving drop-side malfunctions. In one incident, which involved a crib that had been misassembled, the plastic hardware broke and the drop-side rail fell unexpectedly. In a second incident, a hardware failure caused the drop-side rail to detach from the crib. No injuries were reported.

Generation 2 Childesign Crib Recall; Three Deaths Reported
A drop side crib strangulation and suffocation recall is related to three infant deaths, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The Generation 2 Worldwide and “ChildESIGNS” drop-side cribs have plastic hardware that can break, causing the drop side of the crib to detach, creating a space just large enough for an infant or toddler to become trapped.
Dorel Crib Recall After Infant Death; Several Injuries
A crib strangulation death and 10 crib injuries prompted a recall of 635,000 cribs distributed by Dorel Asia SRL of Barbados.
The drop side crib recall was announced by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) after reports of a Cedar Rapids, Iowa infant death and nine infant crib entrapments–three of which resulted in bruises on the child’s body.
