Summit Tree Stand Recall After Falls, Broken Bones Reported
A Summit brand hunting stand recall involves Talon Hunting hang-on tree stands and Cabela’s Realtree stands that can suddenly detach, posing a fall hazard to users.
The manufacturer has received four reports of brackets failing, resulting in falls and injuries, including broken bones, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The recall involves about 6,800 defective hunting tree stands manufactured by Summit Treestands LLC, of Decatur, Ala., and includes the following models:
