Fall Hazard Leads to Primal Vantage Hunting Stand Recall Expansion
Primal Vantage Company is expanding its original Ameristep Plastic Strap-On Tree Step hunting stand recall due to a fall hazard, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The firm has received six reports of steps breaking and two reports of hunters being injured from falling off the defective hunting stands.
Summit Tree Stand Recall After Falls, Broken Bones Reported
A Summit brand hunting stand recall involves Talon Hunting hang-on tree stands and Cabela’s Realtree stands that can suddenly detach, posing a fall hazard to users.
The manufacturer has received four reports of brackets failing, resulting in falls and injuries, including broken bones, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The recall involves about 6,800 defective hunting tree stands manufactured by Summit Treestands LLC, of Decatur, Ala., and includes the following models:

Hunting tree steps by Primal Vantage of Randolph, N.J. have been recalled after reports of steps breaking, including two reports of cuts and bruises, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
About 16,000 Ameristep Plastic Strap-on Tree Steps are being recalled. They were sold in 2009 at various sporting goods stores nationwide.
